Who we are & contact
ExamNet is a digital learning platform based in Tanzania. If you have questions or requests about your data, email support@examnet.net.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, role (learner/parent/school), class level, language preference, and login credentials.
- Learning activity: subjects studied, activities completed, responses, results, feedback viewed, AI-generated insights, and progress history.
- Content & uploads: optional messages you send (support requests) and any files you attach when contacting us.
- Device & usage: device type, OS, app version, browser, IP address, timestamps, and diagnostics (crash/error logs, performance data).
- Cookies/analytics: session cookies and analytics events that help us understand how the site and app are used.
- Payments (if applicable): transaction metadata from payment processors; we do not store full card or mobile money details.
How we use information
- Provide and improve the ExamNet app and website.
- Personalize learning, including AI performance insights and recommended activities.
- Deliver instant feedback and progress reporting to learners and, where applicable, to parents or schools.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Communicate updates, service notices, and support responses.
- Process subscriptions/payments where offered and provide receipts.

Sharing information
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, messaging, payments) that act on our instructions.
- Parents/Schools when an account is managed or provisioned by them, to share relevant progress information.
- Legal & safety when required by law or to protect users and ExamNet.
- Business transitions such as mergers or acquisitions, where data may transfer under the same protections.
- With consent for any additional sharing you authorize.
International processing
We may process data using cloud providers located outside Tanzania. We apply commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
Retention
We keep personal data while your account is active or as needed for legal, operational, and security purposes. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it; backups are removed on their rotation schedule.

Children and students
ExamNet serves learners. Accounts for children should be created or approved by a parent, guardian, or school. If you believe a child provided data without consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes
We will post updates to this Policy with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where practical.
